Alejandro builds AI that developers actually want to use. As a Staff Applied Researcher at GitHub, he works on Copilot—helping AI agents review code more effectively, learn from past sessions, and improve over time at a scale that reaches millions of developers every day. Before shipping AI products, Alejandro spent years researching how to make machine learning systems faster and more reliable. He earned a Ph.D. from Georgia Tech, published at leading AI conferences including NeurIPS and ICML, and co-authored a book on large-scale optimization published by SIAM. He later applied that research rigor to financial markets as a quantitative researcher building machine learning models for algorithmic trading.
