About
Brittany Istenes began her career as an elementary school educator before forging a path into technology. She has led OSS advisory councils, special interest groups, open source contributions, community building, InnerSource initiatives, and all the gray areas in between. Today, Brittany shares these practices across the financial services industry and global technology community. Her goal is to create frictionless developer-centric environments where collaboration, trust, and innovation thrive. She has built and scaled open source advisory councils, ambassador programs, and enterprise contribution models within large organizations. Sitting at the intersection of technology, community, and change enablement at scale, Brittany focuses on driving open source and InnerSource adoption across the enterprise and the broader fintech ecosystem, with a mission to create developer-centric environments that are frictionless, secure, and built for innovation.
